Ambassador for the 2030 Agenda
Maria Victoria González-Román is the Ambassador for the 2030 Agenda for the Government of Spain. She was previously Ambassador of the Permanent Representation of Spain to the OSCE 2015-2019 and Chair of the OSCE Security Committee in 2018-19. In addition, she served as Minister-Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations from 2011-2015, Vice-President of the UN First Committee (Disarmament and International Security) in 2014. From 2008-2011, she served as Ambassador at large for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, an initiative cosponsored by Spain and Turkey. She also served in the Embassies of Spain in Prague (2004-2008), Brussels (1999-2004), Bolivia (1994-1996) and Gabon (1993) and in different positions at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
